Callus Induction from Cotyledon of Gyrinops versteegii (Gilg.) Domke

چکیده
Gyrinops versteegii is an endemic plant in eastern Indonesia that produced agarwood with high quality and economic value. This has been threatened by overexploitation which leads on decreasing the natural population. research aimed to induce vitro callus formation support sustainable utilization of G. versteegii, end, may productivity. Callus induction was investigated using cotyledon cultured MS medium supplemented several combination growth regulators. The observations were done for number explants turned into duration first formation. results showed 3 mg/L NAA + 0.5 BAP recorded as best (63.63%). friable structure bright color are obtained within nine days incubation characteristic embryonic callus. result expected give a significant opportunity conserve population versteegii.

Induction of Callus and Somatic Embryogenesis from Cotyledon Explants of Fagonia indica Burm.
To explore the potential for in vitro rapid regeneration of Fagonia indica Burm., cotyledon explants were obtained from 10-day old aseptically germinated seedlings that cultured on MS medium which supplemented with 1.0-5.0 µM 2,4-D. Callus was initiated from cotyledon explant on MS medium supplemented in all concentrations of 2,4-D investigated. 2,4-D was more effective than IAA and NAA for cal...

In North Carolina, approximately 8% of the cucumber (Cucumis sativus) yield is lost to root-knot nematodes (Meloidogyne spp.) (Main and Gurtz, 1989). No resistance was found in cucumber after screening of 900 cultigens for resistance to Meloidogyne incognita race 3 (Walters, 1991). African horned cucumber (Cucumis metuliferus) has resistance to M. incognita (Fassuliotis, 1967; Walters, 1991), a...
متن کاملIndoleacetic Acid synthesis in soybean cotyledon callus tissue.
Growth of an auxin-requiring soybean cotyledon callus tissue (Glycine max L., Merr. var. Acme) was promoted by tryptophan, tryptamine, indole, indoleacetamide and, to a very slight degree, anthranilic acid. When tryptophan-3-(14)C was supplied in the growth medium, labeled indoleacetic acid (IAA) was found in both the tissue and the medium. Medium, from which the cells had been removed, was als...
متن کاملMatthiola incana Micropropagation Using Shoot Tips and Callus Induction Derived from Lamina Explants and Rooting Capacity from Callus
Tissue culture is an attractive alternative for plant propagation. Micropropagation is a technique to ensure a constant and uniform source of ornamental plants. Matthiola incana is an important ornamental species mainly cultivate by seed. Matthiola incana seeds were germinated on solid MS medium without plant growth regulators. Shoot proliferation and root formation are possible using kinetin (...
